Remember that email you got last week about Facebook possibly owing you money as the result of a class action lawsuit? It turns out it wasn't spam after all

Does Facebook owe you $10?

If you received a legal notice from Facebook recently, don't delete

it -- that could mean the company owes you money.

The notice is informing users of a class action lawsuit

settlementrelated to Facebook's 'Sponsored Stories,' according to
PC World

Facebook unlawfully used some members' information to sell or

advertise products and services without obtaining consent.

Members' names, profile pictures, photographs, likenesses, and

identities were used without permission.

If you received the notice, Facebook could owe you up to $10.

The amount will vary depending on how many claims are filed.

With over 100 million users eligible and a settlement of $20 million,

it's hard to say exactly how much each claimant will receive.
