Toronto Police Hunting Those Involved In Rexdale home invasion

TORONTO SUN - The hunt is on for several gun-toting thugs after a violent home invasion in Rexdale sent two men to hospital early Tuesday.
Officers from 23 Division responded to an “unknown trouble” call just before 12:30 a.m. at 444 Silverstone Dr., a townhouse complex near Albion and Martin Grove Rds.
“When the officers arrived at the scene they found two men who had been hurt in a home invasion,” Const. Tony Vella said Tuesday.
Three men, two of whom were armed with guns, burst into the house, he said. The home invaders took “some items” and left.
Vella wasn’t able to say exactly what was snatched from the home or what happened while the bandits were inside.
However, the two occupants of the house were taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Vella said one man, 29, suffered lacerations to his face and head.
“It looks like he was pistol-whipped,” he said.
The injuries suffered by the other victim, a man in his 20s, are unknown.
