Toronto Police Say Seniors Death Is Suspicious

TORONTO - The death of a 63-year-old woman found in a downtown apartment early Monday is being treated as “suspicious.”
Toronto Police say the woman’s lifeless body was after officers were called to an apartment at 257 Sherbourne St., just north of Dundas St. E., around 5:30 a.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
“At this point, it is only considered suspicious,” Const. Wendy drummond said Monday. “Homicide detectives are monitoring the investigation.”
She said a man was taken to the 51 Division police station for questioning but he has since been released.
No further details were immediately available about the death of the woman, whose name has not been released.
