Energy Drinks & Glamorous Images To Hook Our Kids...& Us

Energy Drinks
How bad are they?

The sales pitch? Glamorous images of snowboarding, surfing, parties, and sports
performance.

The reality? Heart palpitations, anxiety, calls to poison control centers, and extreme
levels of caffeine and sugar.

What are energy drinks really doing to our bodies?

Hidden dangers in a can

Energy drinks are marketed primarily to teens and young adults, but plenty of younger children are drinking them too.

Unlike sodas, energy drinks are considered a supplement instead of a food, and are not regulated. Many don't even list the amount of caffeine they contain.

Energy drinks are an increasing cause of calls to poison control centers around the US. The effects can be quite disturbing, especially for kids and teens.
