Store owner wrestles gun from would-be robbers in Toronto - 2 Youths charged

Toronto police have arrested two 17 year olds and charged them in connection with a failed robbery attempt.
The two teens — who cannot be identified because of their age — allegedly tried to hold up a store that sells silks and saris in the area near Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Road.
According to police one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the owner, Premanathan Kanapathi. But Kanapathi confronted the suspects, fought with them and wrestled the gun away.
The two teens fled the store but were caught a short time later by police.
Kanapathi, a grandfather, was taken to hospital for treatment of a cut to his head and later released.
The two suspects are facing a number of charges including attempted robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon.
