Police conduct raids across GTA in hopes of saving face for raid they conducted on Super Bowl Sunday

Here we go again, Police conducting raids related to what they say is illegal gambling ring.

RCMP executed a number of search warrants across the Greater Toronto Area on Tuesday morning in connection with the bust of an alleged illegal gambling ring on Super Bowl Sunday, a source confirms the media.
It is not known how many raids were conducted, what was seized or how many arrests were made as a result.
The RCMP will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. to provide more details.
According to the source, the raids were a “continuation” of an investigation that saw more than 400 officers participate in the raid of a Markham banquet hall during a Super Bowl party on Feb. 3rd.
Six men were taken into custody during that raid and at the time police alleged that they were all connected to Platinum Sports Book, an enterprise believed to be a joint venture between outlaw biker gangs and traditional organized crime groups.
More than $2.5 million in cash was seized in that raid and nine others conducted throughout Ontario that day.
