Cloase Call As Two Planes Clipped Wings AT Ottawa Airport

OTTAWA - Two planes clipped wings at the Ottawa airport Friday morning, causing some tense moments for passengers but no injuries.
Airport spokeswoman Krista Kealey said the two WestJet aircraft clipped wings while they were being pushed back from the passenger gates, but exactly why that happened is not immediately known.
The planes were not on the runway when the contact occurred.

There were passengers on both planes, Kealey said, and at least one plane was unloaded while it was inspected. The passengers have since either left for their destinations or been re-routed with some delays.
WestJet is expected to release more information later Friday.
