OPP officer faces child luring charge

A 31-year-old Ottawa OPP officer has been charged with luring a child.
Const. Michael Janho, who has been posted to the Ottawa detachment for five years, has been suspended with pay.
OPP launched an investigation in Dec. 2012 after they received a complaint from relatives of the victim. Police say the incident took place between Sept. 22 and Dec. 2, 2012.
Janho, who lives in Kanata, was off-duty at the time of the incident, say police.
He was released on a promise to appear and "officer-in-charge undertaking" with conditions. He is slated to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on July 9.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
