Phone or Tablet, which is the best for gaming?

There is no simple answer to the perennial question as to which kind of mobile device is the best for gaming as there are so many factors involved including your personal lifestyle, Gaming type, such as online casinos and even when you want to play them.

First let’s consider the technologies. While smartphones have been getting smarter with greater computing power and bigger and better displays, the trend has been for tablets to get smaller. When playing games such as roulette or online slots, the screen size can be an important part of the game. On top of this lugging around a large ten inch tablet is not particularly convenient for most people, and they tend to be quite expensive, so the most popular tablets today are the smaller and less expensive ones. To a large extent phones and tablets seem to be meeting in the middle.

In terms of technology, while fairly sophisticated mobile devices are needed for playing the kind of complex multi-player online games that until just recently needed a PC or a console, with online casino games there is no such requirement. Mobile casino games such as roulette and blackjack were developed for what were (by today’s standards) relatively unsophisticated devices such as the early iPhones and first generation Androids. What matters with games such as these is the result; watching the wheel spin is fun and entertaining but it certainly doesn’t need a top glass graphics processor.

The first thing that you need to decide on is the size of the device that you are willing to carry around. If you don’t mind lugging around a ten inch iPad, then that is always going to deliver a better gaming experience than a four and a half inch iPhone, especially when playing visual games like mobile slots. On the other hand if discretion is an issue, then it is much easier to be discrete about playing online games on an iPhone than it is on an iPad, an issue that is often thought about when it comes to gambling.
