Police charge Toronto man in Canada Day shooting

Toronto Star - A Toronto man faces a number of weapons-related charges following a Canada Day shooting in Scarborough.
Police were called to Wishford Dr., near Morningside and McLevin Aves. at about 3:30 p.m. Monday, after reports that a 34-year-old man had been shot.
The victim had been hit in the shoulder while trying to disarm a man wielding a sawed-off shotgun, police said adding the man had allegedly made a demand for his backpack.
Milton Delroy Brown, 19, faces 20 charges including robbery while armed with a firearm and aggravated assault.
