SIX of the drivers involved in 7 car pile-up in Atlanta charged with DUI

Six drivers have been charged with DUI in connection to a seven-car collision outside of Atlanta, Georgia, early Friday morning.
Clayton County police Officer Danielle Rosa said a pedestrian started walking into Interstate 75 shortly after 3am and was hit by the first car, starting a chain reaction that resulted in a pileup.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He is also expected to a face a charge in connection to the crash.

Five of the motorists involved in the massive smash-up were charged with drunken driving and booked into the Clayton County Jail, while the sixth was taken to a hospital, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. 
 
    Four of the suspects were identified by the State Patrol and Clayton County Police as: Scott Kirk Williams II, 23, charged with DUI and following too close; Najm Martinez, 33, charged with DUI and driving less safe; Joseph Daise, 23, charged with DUI; Tawan Hayes, 38, following too close and DUI.
    Another man, Joshua Noble, was also charged with driving under the influence. It remains unclear if all six men were driving from the same place at the time of the crash.

    The accident happened along Interstate 75 in the area of C.W. Grant Parkway and Central Avenue when police say the pedestrian entered the southbound side of the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.
    Six other cars then collided with the first vehicle, blocking all the southbound lanes of the interstate.
    The pileup shut down the highway until 9am, at which time all the lanes were reopened.
