Toronto police identify Toronto's latest murder victim in the weston road stabbing

Leila Chandrapaul, 37, of Toronto was found with obvious stab wounds.




Toronto Star - Leila Chandrapaul, 37, of Toronto was found suffering from stab wounds when paramedics arrived on the 19th floor of a King St. apartment building, near Weston Rd. and Lawrence Ave, around 5:30 a.m.

Toronto police have identified the victim of the city’s latest homicide after a woman was stabbed to death Sunday morning.
Leila Chandrapaul, 37, of Toronto was found suffering from stab wounds when paramedics arrived on the 19th floor of a King St. apartment building, near Weston Rd. and Lawrence Ave, around 5:30 a.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A forensics unit was seen combing through recycling and garbage bins outside the building Sunday.
Areef Khan, 34, of Toronto, has been charged with second-degree murder.
