Come For The Tea, Stay For The Experience At the 2nd Annual Toronto Tea Festival

– February 1 & February 2, 2014

Discover the world of tea from the traditional to the trendy at the 2nd annual Toronto Tea Festival on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 10:00am – 5:00pm at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon, Toronto Central Reference Library.

The 2nd annual Toronto Tea Festival has gathered certified tea sommeliers, internationally renowned authors, local artists, musicians and vendors who are prepared to steep the curious, novice and connoisseur in tea lore and culture.

The Toronto Tea Festival features complimentary tea tastings, delectable tea-food selections, and formal tea ceremonies. Seminars and presentations with Q&A’s by internationally renowned speakers and authors in specially designated rooms, exhibitors offering related products, as well as the opportunity to choose and purchase your personally selected special blend of teas, tea-related products and exquisite tea ware by artisans in the main salon. Tea inspired art and music, and an auction featuring rare tea items complete the 2nd annual Toronto Tea Festival ensemble.

“We are very excited to present the 2nd annual Toronto Tea Festival and share the language of tea.” said Tao Wu, proprietor, Tao Tea Leaf. “Last year’s amazing turnout confirmed the growing public fascination in the ancient art of preparing and serving the second most consumed beverage in the world and encouraged us to expand the Festival to two days.”

“The return of the Toronto Tea festival for a second year is an exciting step in the evolution of Canada into a knowledgeable tea consuming society,” says Bill Kamula, Tea Guild of Canada Chair. “Tea is one of the fastest growing segments of the beverage market, and this festival presents an opportunity for interested consumers to explore many aspects of tea culture, and be introduced to new tea products, under one roof. Over 30 exhibitors participated last year, and this year will feature many additional exhibitors to suit all of your tea related needs.”
