Woman charged with impaired driving was allegedly four times over legal limit with two kids in the car
An Oshawa woman is being accused of drunk driving with two kids in the car Sunday evening. Police say the driver’s blood concentration was nearly four times the legal limit when she was pulled over.
Police say responding officers located the woman in a rural area, around Peterborough County Road 2 and Crowley Line, just before 6 p.m. Sunday after several people called 911 to report a drunk driver on Highway 7.
Officers then stopped and arrested the 45-year-old woman. The Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Aid Society was also called to investigate when police noticed the two children in the vehicle, yet again another case where the parent puts the risk of having their children taken and abused by the CAS.
The woman was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in her blood.
The woman will appear in court in Peterborough on June 16.
