Axe-wielding teen arrested in downtown St. John's Newfoundland

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested a teenage boy following reports that the young man was threatening people with an axe in downtown St. John's on Friday.
Police issued a warrant for the 17-year-old and he was arrested around 1:30 a.m., Sunday.
According to the RNC, officers made the arrest after spotting the teen walking in the area. 
The teen is expected to appear in court on Sunday to answer to several charges — including possession of a dangerous weapon, uttering threats, driving while disqualified and breach of court orders.
